 Rea Thomson is a children’s book author, mother of two, and a passionate advocate for nurturing imagination and emotional growth through the magic of storytelling. Growing up in Ashland, Oregon, Rea cherished evenings spent reading with her mother, a beloved tradition she lovingly carries on with her own young children every night. She currently balances her writing life with cheering on her kids at their sporting events, savoring quiet moments with a warm cup of tea and a good book.

Since her childhood in Southern Oregon, Rea has believed in the boundless potential that every child holds, waiting to be unlocked through the power of books. Her stories are crafted to comfort, inspire, and ignite creativity, helping children navigate life’s challenges while celebrating the wonder of everyday moments. Her husband, a dedicated firefighter, and their bustling family life serve as inspiration and warmth for every story she writes.

When my son was learning to write his name, I created a handwriting book to help him with his letters and handwriting skills. I hope the book ABC Animals Handwriting & Coloring Book will  help other children learning to write as well!

When my daughter came to me and asked me to write a book about her dream of becoming a figure skating, how could I say no?! The book Chasing Ice Dreams was born.
